The Everest Value School Performing Arts Program is a core part of our school culture. All students TK – 8 will meet weekly for Performing Arts classes which will include Music, Drama, and Musical Theatre. All age groups will work on a variety of skills which are designed to have real world applications.  In class, students will be working on improvisation, charades, on-camera acting, scene work, musical theatre performance, song interpretation and character studies. Students will have opportunities during the year to participate in school concerts and musical theatre shows. 

Ms. Tracy Tracy Paladini earned her BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University.  She started her career working in NYC and Los Angeles as an actress.  She is best known for her award-winning performance as Little Red Riding Hood in the original Broadway National Tour of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods.  She has also appeared Off-Broadway in Chaim Potok's The Chosen, as well as on television and at many regional theatres across the country. Tracy's work as a drama and music teacher has included the head of Performing Arts at Virginia Beach Friends School, the acclaimed Performers Theatre Workshop in New Jersey and The Old Donation Center in Virginia Beach, VA.  She also counts Professional Stage Manager among her credits.  Tracy has directed many concerts and musical theatre productions and has taught classes in: Music, Drama, Musical Theatre Performance, On-Camera Acting, Debate/Public Speaking, Film Appreciation, Yoga, Healthy Living and more.

Ms. Tracy comes to Everest Value School after working at Sony Pictures Entertainment for the last three years working with executive producers, writers, and directors on the development and production of television sitcoms.

Students are composing and collaborating using an online Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) called Soundtrap. You can each record tracks to the project and add beats and loops. Super easy to use and middle schoolers will be using it for a project later in the term.
